Muhammad Ali merupakan jaguh tinju kelas berat yang berstatus lagenda dalam sukan tinju. Pengaruh Muhammad Ali bukan sahaja di kalangan ahli tinju, malah menjadi idola bagi ahli-ahli sukan yang lain bahkan bukan ahli sukan sekalipun.
Beliau bukan sahaja ahli tinju yang hebat, malah memiliki daya tarikan sebagai seorang penghibur. Satu ketika, beliau pernah mengelak 21 tumbukan dalam masa satu minit tanpa menggunakan tangan untuk pertahankan diri.
Walaupun beliau selalu mencetuskan masalah terlebih dahulu dengan pihak lawan, namun pihak lawan sangat menyayangi beliau. Berikut merupakan 5 peninju yang pernah mengalahkan beliau:
